Abstract

This article reports on technology in research techniques and whether it can replace interviewing in changing media forms for radio, television, and print media. The article discusses radio broadcasting technology in terms of sound, digital technology, and wireless communication devices. Print and newspaper media are facing declines in circulation and increased use of internet news sites. Television is also discussed in terms of changing content and audience measurement. The article describes other information media such as Global Positioning System (GPS) devices and roadside advertising as well.
